HIKING
There are seven hiking trails that criss-cross Ball’s Bluff Battlefield Regional Park in Leesburg, including a section of the 710-mile Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail.
For an easy 1.2 mile walk, go to Red Rock Wilderness Overlook Regional Park in Leesburg.
Another option is driving to Bluemont, Virginia (about a 25-minute drive from Leesburg). Trails in Bluemont include Raven Rocks (5 mi, hard) and Bear's Den (1.6 mi, easy).
